Purpose

This manual provides a step-by-step procedure for servicing a meetpat water station to ensure optimal hygiene, safety, and performance of the unit.

This manual is an additional reference to be used in conjunction with the model specific instruction book (IB)

Service Tools & Materials Checklist

  • meetpat-compatible batteries (AA – max 12)
  • meetpat-certified water filter (model specific)
  • Pressure washer
  • General cleaning products (non-abrasive)
  • Screwdrivers/tools for panel access
  • Camera or smartphone for photos
  • Device to record serials and log service

Pre-service Documentation

Ensure you have been provided with the following prior to visiting site:

  • SO number – Order reference number
  • Unit serial number/s
  • Location of water stations
  • Any service notes or specific job requirements

Pre-service – Photos

Take clear photos of the unit before service (required angles):

  • Front
  • Back
  • Both sides
  • Close-ups of any notable details or damage

External Cleaning

  • Outdoor installation – Pressure wash and scrub the entire exterior of the unit (avoid electrical components).
  • Indoor installation – Surface spray and srub the entire exterior of the unit (avoid electrical components)

Remove Graphics Panels

Wipe down and clean all surfaces under the panels

Record Unit Data

  • Unit Serial Number
  • Smart Tech Serial Number
  • Dog Bowl Serial Number
  • Usage Reading (from the counter/display/app) – Refer to IB and video below

NOTE: Recommended that these are documented (written down) as they will be required when completing the  online service system at the end of the service. Download here a quick reference service sheet (PDF). 

Internal Cleaning

Open internal compartments and clean internal components

Inspection & Replace 

Inspect the entire unit:

  • Structural integrity
  • Seals and connections
  • Tech modules
  • Water delivery components

 

Replace

Service technician to replace any of the faulty/damaged parts as per service schedule parts listing documentation.

Any additional works or parts outside of this then contact meetpat service ([email protected]) for approval if repairs exceeding agreement.

Battery Replacement

  • Replace all batteries within the unit with approved models.
  • NOTE: Battery pack corrosion – REPLACE battery pack if there is any visible corrosion on the inside of the battery pack or on the terminals. See more in the inspect and replace section of the service manual. 

Mesh Filter Maintenance

  • Remove, clean and re-install mesh filter (Not appliable on Legacy Permanent 2015-2022 units)

Filter Replacement

  • Install a new water filter
  • Ensure secure and leak-free installation

Functionality Testing

  • Pressure Test the unit
  • Perform a full Function Test on all operational components
  • Test Smart Tech module for connectivity and responsiveness

Chassis Documentation and Reassembly

  • Take a photo of the chassis with panels removed after all works completed
  • Replace and refit all graphic panels, the top section, plastic water window surrounds

Post-Service Documentation

Take final photos of the serviced unit:

  • Front
  • Back
  • Both sides
  • Close-up details

Note the Geo Location of the unit (via GPS or meetpat app)
